Alyssia’s bicycle stress test continues. with many ecg electrodes placed on her chest to monitor her progress the med team also checks her heartbeat with a steth. soon she starts feels totally breathless and wants to stop. the med team realizes something in wrong, remove mask and help her off the bike and onto the floor. even with o2 provided alyssia’s breathing is still fast and weak. she seizes on the floor and the med team starts the resus procedure. dr. eve performs mtm before her colleagues arrive with the ambu bag. they start cpr and place the aed pads on her chest. there is no response following the first cycle. the med team performs fast and strong chest compressions on the patient and ambu bag her. the aed is utilized for more rounds more times without any response. following many more cycles of resus, the patient’s pulse is back to normal rhythm.
